A few quick updates for this week:

Hi all,

A few quick updates for this week:

Henry McCall
· Henry was really pleased to receive the get well card and lego. Thanks for the contributions. Tim reports that he is on the mend, due for a check-up next week, and will hopefully be back playing before too long.

Play this week – Whyteleafe Football Club. 9.30 – 11.00am
· As mentioned on Sunday we are going to be playing Dorking U7s this coming Sunday, 14th February.

· We will be playing them at Whyteleafe Football Club again as there’s only a limited amount of playable pitch at Warlingham. (I was there for a refereeing course last night and it’s still very muddy).

o We’re on the 3G pitch, so Astros or trainers needed. NO STUDS.

o We will play from 09.30 – 11.00am.

o Address is Church Road, Whyteleafe, Surrey CR3 0AR

o Parents need to stand OUTSIDE of the metal cage please.

· For info U9 and U11 will play at Warlingham from 10.00 – 12.00. U8, U10 and U12 are away at Dorking.

Saracens v Quins match at Wembley – 16th April:
· I mentioned this after training last Sunday and all the kids wanted to go!! It would be great if we can have a large U7s contingent, so please sign up if you can! Here are the details, and also see attached:

o A reminder again that we’ve got the opportunity to get tickets for Quins v Saracens at Wembley on 16th April. Kick off at 3.15, but the show starts at 2pm. Tickets are priced from only £20 for adults and £7.50 for Junior (U16), and is should be a great day out. Hopefully Quins will be able to pull off another win against Saracens like they did last weekend.

o Warlingham RFC is also on the list for the Pride in Unity Parade at Wembley and details regarding timings and logistics will be circulated nearer the date of the match. This is a parade of minis and juniors around the stadium prior to kick off, usually whilst the players are warming up. Each club in the parade is given a banner with their club name on and the boys/girls parade behind it. There is no maximum amount that can join the parade but there is a minimum of 20/25 kids. This is a unique experience that will live long in the memories of the kids – being pitch side inside a national stadium on a match day!

o If you book tickets to the match and would like your U7 son / daughter to participate in the pre-match parade please add their names to this doodle poll so that we know who’s going: http://doodle.com/poll/kh5ia5fd77nndatg

No mud in the club:
· For when we’re back at the club in Warlingham, a couple of pointers:

o All kids will need to put their boots on in the changing rooms, and not in the main clubhouse. On return from the pitches we’re asking kids to go back through the changing rooms and ideally change before coming back into the clubhouse.

o The bath will be run in the changing room so that kids can warm up and get rid of the mud after play.

o The Chris Robshaw room (the small bar) will be for adults only, so please advise your kids.

New players:
· We have a number of new players who’ve joined since Christmas. A reminder that you:

o Need to register on the club website (this is free)

o Give me your email / phone number / child’s name and date of birth

o Have three free trail sessions and will then need to pay your subscriptions. There is a reduced rate of £45 for the remainder of the season until May.

· We have a closed Warlingham U7s Facebook group, so please sign up for updates / photos etc: https://www.facebook.com/groups/WarlinghamRFC.U7s/

Hope that’s all clear. Any questions give me a call.

Look forward to seeing you at Whyteleafe FC at around 9.15am, for a sharp 9.30 start on Sunday.

Thanks, Rob
