*** Important – Please note change of training venue, for Sunday 4th Oct only ***

Hi all,

*** Important – Please note change of training venue, for Sunday 4th Oct only ***

Great session last week, and welcome to the new members. Also great that we had lots of coaches / helpers to run the training.

Congrats to Harry Hunter, who picked up Player of the Week. The coaches in your group said that you listened very well, and were taking in and applying what they were saying.

Lots of admin this week, but please take a moment to read these points as a few need some action:

1. TRAINING VENUE THIS SUNDAY: The Warlingham RFC U10 – U12 Festival is taking place this Sunday 4th so we won’t be training at the club. Instead we will be training, alongside our U8s and U9s, on the Warlingham School pitches (Tithepit Shaw Lane, CR6 9YB). It’s the usual 10.00 – 11.30am timing. Please park on Tithepit Shaw Lane, and not at the club as parking there is going to be a nightmare!

2. BIG GAME 8 at TWICKENHAM: A reminder about booking tickets if you want to come to Twickenham on 27th December for the Quins match (and hopefully see your kids play rugby in front of 80,000 people!) A great, and cheap, day out! Need to book tickets by tomorrow - 2nd October. http://www.jumblebee.co.uk/WarlinghamRFC-biggame8

3. WARLINGHAM U7s – U9s FESTIVAL: On Sunday 11th October we’ll be playing our first festival – at Warlingham RFC - against teams including Beccs, Old Cats, Old Alleynians, and Sevenoaks. We’re planning to have four Warly teams. Please can you click on this Doodle link to advise if your son / daughter will or won’t be able to play in the festival: http://doodle.com/poll/z7r42sucbs3k3efa. We need this to be completed by Tuesday 6th October and teams will be announced after then. There will be NO TRAINING on 11th October so if you don’t opt to play in the festival then no rugby that day!

4. FESTIVAL HELPERS: Thanks to Michelle Lam, Lara Ruddock and Aly Foyle who’ve all volunteered to help out with the U7s tent at the festival. If anyone else is able to help with the event please let me know asap.

5. COLD WEATHER: Don’t forget to wrap your kids up as the weather starts to get cooler / wetter. Thermal base layers, gloves, waterproof tops, and hats all good.

6. RUGBY TOUR: There’s a rugby tour to Minehead in Devon on 29 April – 2 May 2016, and the Warly minis squads are heading down. It’s a very long way in advance, but if you want to go we need to put a hold on accommodation in the next couple of weeks. I’ll explain more on Sunday…

7. REGISTRATION & PAYMENT: Thanks to those of your who have registered and paid since the follow up last week. We’ve now got 70% of the kids registered. Please ensure that you register and pay on the www.mightywarl.com website. If you trying out the club then you have three free weeks before needing to pay the subs. If you’re not registered then you won’t be able to take part in the festivals – our Warlingham festival is on 11th October….

8. FACEBOOK: The U7s Facebook is https://www.facebook.com/groups/WarlinghamRFC.U7s/ Please do sign up to this closed group if you’re on Facebook.

9. RUGBY WORLD CUP: Hopefully Saturday’s World Cup rugby will be less painful than last weekend! The club is screening all of the big matches on the big screens this Saturday, plus our 1st XV is playing a match against London Cornish. Should be a fun afternoon / evening….

Look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

All the best, Rob
