I would like to organise a meeting for anyone that would like any involvement in the organisation/coaching of the Under 8’s next year.

We have had loads of offers of help so I am hoping that if we can get a few more involved and doing tasks that they enjoy and are good at it will feel no-one is overburdened, and the team will run smoothly and successfully.

An idea of the areas that we can discuss will be;

1. Coaching volunteers

2. Communications, weekly email, agenda for forth coming weeks.

3. Kit monitor (balls tags etc.)

4. Register; who is at training, ensuring our database of contacts is up to date and we don’t miss/overlook new players.

5. Ensuring subs are paid.

6. Keeping a track of who has had player of the week, who has played in matches.

7. Refereeing

8. 1st Aider

9. Tournament organiser, ensuring teams are entered into tournaments and everyone is registered with RFU numbers

10. Please let me know if you want to add to the agenda ( I thought there were more things to sort out)?

I would like to suggest that anyone that would like to get involved meets this Thursday in the George in Old Oxted at 20:00, if you can’t make it but are keen to help please just let me know what role you would like to do?

If there are a lot of people who are away then perhaps we can look at a date nearer the start of the season.

As a year group we need to enter someone on to the refereeing course on the Sunday 23rd August. Please let me know if you can do it, I am away that week

2) Wednesday 2nd Sep at 7.30 - minis committee and kit audit - ALL MINIS HEADS AND TEAM MANAGERS TO ATTEND _

3) October 17h - U9 to U12 PARENTS need to host some French kids we will be playing... make sure you have a list of who is willing to host them

5) The PAYMENTS section of the website is LIVE... please encourage all parents to do this (preferably PRE SEASON!)

6) Fixtures are now available on the website. Teams are updated on the website.

7) The Club Circular - if you want this (and don't get it), please email me and i'll pass onto the appropriate person

8) I want at least one person per age group to book on SCRUM FACTORY at the club on the 28th October - please book via the RFU website.

Other 'club' news:
1. Patio area is being relaid this week
2. New TV/AV being installed
3. New car park extension starting for 30+ cars (near the cricket pavillion)
4. RWC stuff is happening
5. 'Blue book' is being printed
6. Container for minis kit being kitted out as is a bit of loft space
7. We are going to buy a 'cage rugby' bit of kit for M&J
