Pace and resolve put 16 man squad ahead at Chobham

Warlingham Wolves 26 - Chobham U18 17
After the high of their Quins Cup 1st round cup victory and with six players missing on schools 7s duties the Wolves, several having to play out of position, put in a very credible performance to overcome a much larger and well drilled (26 man squad) opposition in weather conditions that were at times pretty awful.
With Prop Adam Dunn’s departure early on, uncontested scrums nullified Chobham’s size advantage in the tight and, as we had no subs, gave the forwards a breather as the opposition revolved their large squad throughout the match.
The Wolves did themselves no favours by constant offside indiscipline but in the end were too good, particularly in the backs, for Chobham.
Stand out player of the match (as voted for by Chobham much to our agreement) was young Juai Charles who was guesting from our U16s. One to watch! Serious pace and a fantastic try from inside our own half.
Lastly it must be pointed out that certain players assertion that “they play better with a hangover” is most assuredly incorrect.

Oh the joys of hypocrisy!
