Warlingham Wildcats U13's and Ladies 7'2

Warlingham Wildcat’s under 13 girls attended the Surrey sevens tournament held at Dorking RFC last Sunday in the blistering heat. The day consisted of 3 tough matches against Sutton Epsom (8-1); Old Reigations ( 4-2) and then London Irish (6-3).  Every player progressed throughout the games by putting up a good defence against some hard opposition! Although, some of the opposition players were incredibly speedy, Meghan Thomas managed to chase down and put in many try saving tackles.  Along with the strong defence, the Warlingham Wildcats Pippa Danielson, Freya Nash and Meghan Thomas all managed to score tries which were well deserved!
To top the brilliant performance from the Wildcats, other teams and refs gave a glowing report about the girls throughout the day in terms of performance and excellent team work.

Wildcats Ladies
Warlingham Wildcats Ladies were invited to the Barnes 7's by the Fullerian Furies to join their team on Saturday 21 April, a blistering hot day. The competition was for  development squads although many were further on in their development, but I suppose even international players need to develop. The Furies ably assisted by Sophie and Michele York put up a spirited defence and attack with Sophie, our Ladies captain, scoring 2 brilliant tries.  Progressing through the heats the team won the wooden spoon final, winning fee entry to the competition next year. The day was great fun with lots of rugby played, techniques improved and laughter all helped along with Bud and Pimms.

Well done girls!
